Preparing for Home Inspection:

Following steps will lead to a much smoother inspection:

• Confirm gas, water and electricity are turned on

• Gas water heater pilots burning

• Replace any burned-out light bulbs

• Test all smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors. Replace batteries if needed

• Move wood, stored items or debris away from the foundation

• Make sure the attic, crawl space or basement are accessible

• Trim tree limbs and shrubs away from the properties exterior

• Repair minor things like leaky faucets, missing door handles and trim
